Our aim is to create friendly relaxing atmosphere where we can contemplate the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:36-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) emphasizing the experience of Christian women and explore the ways in which Christians lived in the Early, Medieval and Modern eras. We will ask ourselves, how we can embrace this call and lead a life that reflects the way of the Great Commandment in our own time. Opportunities to share and reflect on our experiences of our own calling include workshops in textiles, music, painting, walking, writing, liturgical dance and storytelling as well as enjoying fellowship and fun!
In addition to the main sessions with Diana in the chapel and the various workshops, we also have available throughout the weekend, a Labyrinth which is a replica of the one laid in the floor of Chartres Cathedral in France. It is used as a walking meditation and prayer path. Walking in woods or strolling to the nearby waterfall are also highly recommended. Included in the registration is a trip to the local onsen accessible by shuttle bus or guided hike.
We look forward to seeing you there!
